How Hard You Work Doesn’t Determine How Successful You Are

Every year countless people start chasing new goals. It could be a New Year’s resolution, a new career goal, a financial goal, a fitness goal, or something else.

And every year, people start strong, then fizzle out. Or they accomplish their goal but later backslide to where they started.

This all comes down to people forgetting one fundamental truth.

It doesn’t matter what goal you are trying to achieve.

Consistency matters more than intensity.

How hard you work is not nearly as important as making consistent progress, no matter how small.

Start by setting a minimum daily goal. This goal should be small and easily achievable. That way, it will quickly become a habit.

On most days, you will do much more than the minimum, but having the minimum means that you will make progress towards your goal even on your bad days.
